What if I want to return my purchase?

To return a diamond or jewelry item to DiamondWave, follow our three-step process:

  1. Your Return Authorization Code.

    Call 1-866-978-7801 or email and you will be given a Return Authorization Code. Write this code on the bottom of your original invoice. Make a copy of the original invoice for your records.

  2. Package Your Return.

    Include all original packaging and collateral material. If your item was delivered with a diamond certificate and that certificate is not returned, you may be liable for the $250 replacement cost. For security reasons, do not write DiamondWave anywhere on the outside of the box. The return should only say DW DEPT.

  3. Insure Your Package.

    On your invoice, if the price of the item you're returning is:

    • Less than $500:

      You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt and signature required for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination and signed by our security dept.*Please email us the tracking number service@diamondwave.com

    • More than $500:

      Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt and signature required for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination and signed by our security dept. *Please email us the tracking number at service@diamondwave.com. (If shipping FedEx® and UPS® be sure they will insure the merchandise over $500.)

Does DiamondWave charge sales tax?

Currently, sales tax is only collected on orders shipped to addresses in New York State.

What is the quality of the DiamondWave inventory?

The DiamondWave inventory is, and always will be, of the highest value and the best quality. A good percentage our stones are mined from the Northwest Territories in Northern Canada. We do not sell any conflict diamonds. Our inventory is kept in a secure vault in New York City. We also have an office in Israel that handles some of our GIA loose stone inventory. You may occasionally find some of these stones for sale on other sites but these would only be loose stones from the GIA Registry. When we sell these stones they are pulled as quickly as possible and sent to us. This does not apply to our non-certified stones. The loose stones on our site that are not GIA are owned by DiamondWave and you find these in all our Preset Jewelry or the loose stones that say DW Select."

What is the cut grade of diamonds at DiamondWave?

DiamondWave.com feels that the cut of the diamond is the most important characteristic, so this is why we hand pick every diamond we offer. Our diamond cut grades are Very Good or better. The sparkle of a diamond greatly depends on the proportions of a cut. The better the cut, the more brilliant and vivid the sparkle. *GIA diamonds come with their own certification. This is solely based on stock non-certified diamonds in our pre-set jewelry. Most of our diamonds are mined from the NW Territories and Russia.

Is there a shipping charge?

DiamondWave offers free shipping on all of our inventory. We make to order so shipping will be processed once the item is completed. Please see estimated shipping times on the detail page of the item. We can only ship to a PO BOX via United States Postal Office.

Will I be getting the quality that the diamond description states?

This is the reason why we include the original certificates with each diamond. This gives you the ability to inspect and compare, with the original certificate, to the diamond you have chosen from our inventory.

Is the quality of the diamond guaranteed?

All our diamonds are certified by gemological laboratories recognized and respected throughout the industry. All non-certified diamonds are graded by our gemologist. What is different about our diamonds? We do not sell the "off make" diamonds like your typical online jeweler or mall jewelry stores. We own and cut our own stones, they are full cuts and dazzling with fire and brilliance. Diamondwave hand picks every mounting to ensure exceptional quality. A diamond can have lower clarity and color but still shine as it is the cut of the stone that makes it sparkle.

Am I really getting a fair price and value?

The Internet gives you the opportunity to research and find the best value for a specific diamond with just a touch of a button. We urge you to compare exactly similar stones in size, shape, clarity, color, and measurements. The slightest difference causes the price to fluctuate. We are certain all of our diamonds are priced to match and beat the competition. There are no two diamonds are alike. How large a selection do you have?

Just take a look at our inventory list and you will see a vast selection of diamonds in any shape, size, clarity and color you can imagine. If you don't see what you are looking for please email or call us. We have 100's of castings not on the site.

What kind of rings do you carry?

We carry a selection of settings. All settings are available in white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, and platinum can be sized to fit any finger. Choose a diamond for your ring from our large in-house inventory, and we will ship the finished ring to you. Our 14k,18k, and Platinum settings are Made in the USA.

The DiamondWave Policy on Conflict Diamonds

At DiamondWave, we only purchase diamonds through the largest and most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process, an international system that polices the trade of diamonds to ensure they are from sources free of conflict. Most diamonds are mined in NW Territories and Russia. The Kimberley Process, adopted into U.S. and Canadian legislation, requires manufacturers to comply with a lengthy procedure which closely tracks, ships and receives each diamond, documenting each step so as to monitor the stones’ origin. Diamonds that we offer for sale are procured from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and comply with the United Nations resolutions set forth by the Kimberly Process procedure. How to care for my jewelry?

We recommend you have your setting checked every six months to make sure the stone hasn't been knocked loose, especially if it is particularly large. Prongs bend when even the slightest knock happens. Be sure to insure your jewelry, we all know it's irreplaceable. However, it's important to have insurance just in case. Most insurance companies will include your ring under your homeowner's insurance although you can always insure it separately if you wish. Jewelry Insurance

Cold water may shrink your fingers just enough to loosen the ring from your finger. While platinum can withstand virtually any chemical, experts advise not to expose gold or silver rings to the harsh chemicals found in swimming pools and spas -- the bands can become severely discolored over time.

Playing sports. Holding anything tightly is particularly not good for a ring. As for taking your ring to the gym, lifting weights with it on can also be hazardous. Gardening. It is possible to chip your diamond or knock the setting loose while doing heavy yard work. Cleaning house. Harsh chemical soaps or cleansers can damage the ring. It's also a good idea not to wear your ring while doing the dishes.

Can you resize my ring?

Most rings can be sized up or down by one size from the local jeweler. If you would like us to re-size the ring it will be a $50 charge and you will be responsible for the cost of returning the product, according to our return policy and shipping costs to return the ring to you. Eternity rings cannot be size but 1/4 size up, be sure you know what size you will need, if it has to go up higher there will be a fee for the new setting if it has to be remade. Eternity rings are considered special orders. Please call for re-sizing rings that are eternity rings. These often can not be sized more than 1/4 size up. Products that are not in the size range of 4.5-9 will be considered a Special Order and cannot be returned. Resizing will take approximately 10-14 business days. We suggest checking with a jeweler before order the wrong ring size, or check with customer service to see if the ring can be sized up or down by one or two sizes by a jeweler. 

What form of payments do you accept?

DiamondWave accepts MasterCard®:, Visa, American Express®:, Discover, PayPal®: and bank wire transfer. With Bank wires payment through your bank receive a 1.5% discount This can not be used with any promo's or discounts. Bank wire payments are accepted on orders of $750 or more. All International transactions and ship to another address other than your billing address will be processed through PayPal® invoice.  We will request a copy of the Credit Card and Photo ID if the order address cannot be confirmed for all transactions. If billing does not match shipping we will request a copy of your ID and Credit Card. This is for your protection and security. Paypal orders must have a Confirmed address for us to process the order. This is for your security as well as ours. Product Availability and Pricing at DiamondWave our store front data including prices, may be inaccurately displayed on our Site due to system failure or typographical errors. Does my jewelry come with an appraisal?

All preset diamond jewelry from DiamondWave come with an appraisal *products must contain a diamond to receive an appraisal, which can be sent to your insurance company to acquire coverage. Coverage can be purchased to ensure against loss, theft, or damage. Your insurance policy should provide for equal replacement of your diamond jewelry item which means that the replacement item should be equal value, quality and appearance to the one which was lost. *Calculated using current market data, which reflects typical retail prices. These are approximate values as appraising is opinion based. GIA stones are sent with a GIA Certificate and the Retail Replacement Value Appraisal.

Does all my jewelry have a metal stamp?

Jewelry manufacturers in the United States must inform the consumer about precious metal content, but the content doesn't actually have to be stamped on the piece. It can be on the appraisal accompanying the item, on a hang tag or packaging component, or on the invoice or receipt for the purchase. If a pendant is sold without a chain, it may not have a stamp of metal. If an earring is sold without a back it may not have a stamp of metal. The chain and the earring back have the stamp of metal.
