Store Policy

Please review these policies carefully as they are the terms of sale that govern your purchases at the DiamondWave Store. Your placement of an order at the DiamondWave Store constitutes your agreement that these policies apply to the order, so be certain you understand them before you place your order. You must be at least 18 years old to order from the DiamondWave Store.

Return Authorization Code

To return a diamond or jewelry item to DiamondWave, follow our three step process:

  1. Your Return Authorization Code. Call 1-866-978-7801 and you will be given a Return Authorization Code. Write this code on the bottom of your original invoice.
  2. Package Your Return. Include all original packaging and collateral material. If your item was delivered with a diamond certificate and that certificate is not returned, you may be liable for the $250 replacement cost. For security reasons, do not write DiamondWave anywhere on the outside of the box. Write "DW Returns Dept." on the shipping document.
  3. Insure Your Package. On your invoice, if the price of the item you're returning is: 
    • Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination.*
    • More than $500: Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached DiamondWave .* (FedEx® and UPS® will not insure merchandise over $500.)

Does DiamondWave charge sales tax?

Currently, sales tax is collected on orders shipped to addresses in New York State.

The information on DiamondWave

We make every attempt to ensure that our online store is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, color and size may vary slightly.

Our objective is to provide you with as much information and detail about your prospective purchase as possible so that you can see the beauty and shape of a particular item. In compliance with industry standards and FTC regulations, DiamondWave states that carat total weight in all purchases may vary 0.05 carats from stated weight.

On the DiamondWave website, we display the dimensions of our products based on the information received from our manufacturers. Also, for each item containing multiple diamonds, we list the average grade and measurement for color, clarity, and carat weight. These averages are calculated by adding all grades or measurements that comprise the inventory with regard to that particular piece of merchandise, and determining the closest mean.

Special or Custom Orders

We want to help you find the perfect ring or piece of jewelry. Many of our items may be altered in various ways. We have received requests to use sapphires, rubies, or other stones in place of what may be displayed on our site. Other requests have included the use of more or less stones or different size stones for a particular item. Such requests may be possible, but are non-refundable, unless there is an error caused by DiamondWave. We reserve the right to correct any issues prior to issuing a refund. The DiamondWave Policy on Conflict Diamonds

At DiamondWave, we only purchase diamonds through the largest and most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process, an international system that polices the trade of diamonds to ensure they are from sources free of conflict.

10 Year Trade-Up Guarantee on Certified Diamond Purchases

When your 45-Day Money Back Guarantee has expired, you can still trade up your GIA or AGS certified diamond for one of greater value for the next 10 years! The trade up credit will be equal to the diamond's full purchase amount. There is no limit on the number of times you can upgrade your diamond and there is no restocking fee.

For example, if your original GIA or AGS certified diamond was purchased for $3,000 and you would like to upgrade to another GIA or AGS certified diamond that is priced at $4,500, you would only pay $1,500.

To trade up your diamond, please send us the diamond and original certificate, and you will receive credit for the price paid for your diamond applied towards a new diamond purchase. If the original grading report has been misplaced, there is a $250 re-grading charge. In some instances a diamond may have incurred damage through daily wear. DiamondWave will accept the diamond back and deduct the cost of polishing and reshaping. Setting and applicable charges may apply on the trade-up.

Payment Method Options for Purchase

DiamondWave accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and wire transfer. With Bank wires payment through your bank, you will receive a 1.5% discount. Bank wire payments are accepted on orders of $750 or more.
